One of Chicago’s favorite foodie events, First Bites Bash (FBB), that showcases the best of Chicago cuisine, has announced the date for this year’s gala that is the kick off event for Chicago Restaurant Week.
The popular foodie bash, that features unlimited food and drink from over 60 Chicago restaurants, will take place in the Aon Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier on Thursday, January 25, 2018, from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
General admission tickets are $125 per person but, if you hurry, you may be able to get in on the limited number of Early Bird tickets at $95.
Lee Wolen, Executive Chef/Partner of Boka (one of Plate Magazine’s “30 Chefs to Watch) will host the event that will showcase tasting portions from participating restaurants upcoming Restaurant Week menus.
First-time participants include: HaiSous, Artango Bar & Steakhouse, Margeaux Brasserie, Baptiste & Bottle, Hampton Social, Strings Ramen, Splitrail, Booth One, The Bristol, Formento’s and Bar Cargo.
The food and spirits choices at FBB can be overwhelming. It’s a smart move to plan ahead so you don’t fill up before you get to your favorites.

Chicago Restaurant Week information
Chicago Restaurant Week–actually two weeks–will take place January 26 – February 8, 2018. More than 370 restaurants (115 new restaurants) will participate in the 2018 event featuring prix fixe menus. Brunch and lunch menus will be available for $22 and dinner for $33 and/or $44, excluding beverage, tax and gratuity. Reservations are open now at the Chicago Restaurant Week website.
